About Us: Tokyo Academics is a growing organization made up of teachers, researchers, and academics passionately working to help students achieve their potential and seize future opportunities. Role Summary: The College Admissions Consultant will assist students through 1-on-1 consultations, guiding them on their high school and college pathways, enhancing their chances of successful college admissions. This is a part-time, in-person role with flexible working hours. Key Responsibilities: - Provide guidance on high school course selection and extracurricular activities. - Help students build a tailored college list. - Identify students' potential passions, majors, and career interests. - Advise on admission essays and the overall college admissions process. - Undergo extensive training to understand Japan’s high school landscape and Tokyo Academics’ counseling protocol. Ideal Candidate: - Holds a degree from a prestigious U.S. or U.K. university. - Passionate about mentorship and engaging with students comprehensively. - Experience in college admissions counseling or related areas—at least 2 years preferred. - Excellent communication and collaborative skills, adaptable to a startup environment. Working Hours: 10 to 20 hours per week, peak hours from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm on weekends, aligned with students' schedules.
